Tequila Mockingbird is a beautiful book by Tim Federle, and the illustrations are from Lauren Mortimer. I think I won’t be wrong if I say we all need a little alcohol nowadays! Finding this book was such a joy for me. After all, it exquisitely blends literature and cocktails; two of my favourite things. It is suitable for everyone and almost any situation!
This book is delightful to read and includes cocktails for men, women, book clubs and readers who do not use alcohol. As if these were not pleasant enough, there are snack recipes that will fill your stomach along with your cocktails. If this is not enough for you, you can find games as a bonus at the end of the book.

Even if you are a person who has never made a cocktail until now, I can say that you don’t have to worry because everything is considered in the book. Tim Federle explained everything concisely from the beginning, what the words mean and the like.
Tequila Mockingbird features literary cocktails adapted from most classic books. First, you read a brief explanation about the books. Then there are the contents of the cocktail and lastly the recipe. What I love about this book is that it makes me want to read the books first! Well, we all know that it is not a bad idea to make a delightful cocktail after reading the first pages of a book.
Since Federle is a person who knows how to enjoy life, I will recommend you to listen to the recommendations given with the cocktail recipes. I especially loved the game part! Federle has created fun games that you can play alone or with your friends. I also liked how he turned book names into cocktail names and created drinks that are compatible with all of them. My favourite cocktail is Brave New Swirled! What is yours?
